October 3, 2020 - Cooley scores 11th place finish in Gumbo Nationals opener
1On Friday afternoon Eric Cooley and the Bryson Motorsports team visited Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Miss.) to take part in the 14th annual Gumbo Nationals. Drawing 38 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) entries, Eric followed up the 10th fastest time in his qualifying group with a fifth place finish in his heat. Coming in second in his B-Main behind Mike Palasini, Cooley locked into the 20th-starting position for the opening night feature. 1The following night, Cooley edged his way into the $8,000-to-win finale with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race. Rolling off 14th, Eric was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on lap 31.

July 18, 2020 - Seventh place finish in Governor's Cup at Magnolia
1Saturday night saw Eric Cooley return to action at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) piloting the Bryson Motorsports No. 33c Late Model for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) sanctioned Governor’s Cup. With 30 cars on hand, Cooley came in second fastest in his group behind Jamie Elam, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Losing three spots in the 40-lap affair, Eric posted a seventh place outing.

July 11, 2020 - Cooley lands sixth place finish in SAS event at ECM
1Eric Cooley was one of 30 Southern All Star Series entries on hand at ECM Speedway (Bremen, Ala.) on Saturday afternoon for the Rolling on the River 40. Laying down the second fastest time in his group behind Dane Dacus, Cooley locked his spot into the main event. With $4,000 on the line, Eric posted a sixth place finish in the 40-lap affair.

June 20, 2020 - Eric Cooley attends Clash at the Mag
1On Thursday afternoon Eric Cooley invaded Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) piloting the Bryson Motorsports No. 33 Late Model for the three-day General Tire Clash at the Mag. Drawing 55 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries for two rounds of preliminary features leading up to the main event on Saturday, Cooley followed up the 11th fastest time in his group with a seventh place finish in his heat. Needing a second place finish or better in his B-Main to make the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Eric logged an eighth place outing.

The following night for another $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Eric fell two spots short of transfer position in his heat with a fifth place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main, Cooley recorded a seventh place finish.

Slated to start near the tail of his B-Main on Saturday for one final shot at the $15,000-to-win General Tire Clash at the Mag, Cooley elected to save equipment and scratched from the 12-lapper.

June 13, 2020 - Cooley breaks in MSCCS season-opener at ECM Speedway
After more than a two-month hiatus due to the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Eric Cooley kicked off his 2020 season on Saturday night at ECM Speedway (Bremen, Ala.) for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) sanctioned program. Earning the 10th-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main via preliminary events, Cooley was passing for fifth when mechanical issues struck, forcing him to retire from the remainder of the evening.
